Established in 1955 to meet the educational needs of families in the international business and diplomatic community, Marymount London is part of a worldwide system of schools and colleges directed by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, a Roman Catholic Institute founded in Béziers, France, in 1849.

An independent High School for girls aged 11 to 18, Marymount London accepts both UK and International students, for day and boarding places. With outstanding facilities, we have a seven-acre campus in an exclusive residential area in north-east Surrey (forty minutes by car from Gatwick and Heathrow airports).

Designated by the Department for Education and Skills as a Faith School, Marymount London isa member of the Girls’ Schools Association, is accredited by the Independent Schools’ Council (UK), the Middle States Association of Schools & Colleges (USA), and the Council of International Schools.

For boarding students in the school ‘their house is their home’. The relaxed atmosphere of the boarding houses provide a perfect antidote to the rigour of academic work, the physical exertions of sport or the time restrictions of a busy life. The established students help the new arrivals settle in and, within days -sometimes even hours - strong friendships develop so that activities are enjoyed together.

In addition to making weekend use of the school facilities, boarding students can participate in organised weekend events. These weekend activities can also be available to 5 day boarding students and day students.
