TASIS - The American School in EnglandTASIS The American School in England is a leading independent, co-educational college preparatory school in the UK. Enrolling American and international day students in nursery school through grade 12, and boarding students in grades 9 through 12, TASIS also offers a postgraduate option. Founded by Mrs. M. Crist Fleming, TASIS England opened its campus in Thorpe in 1976 to boarding and day students in grades 7 through 12. It has added programs and facilities to accommodate the current school population of 700 students and over 100 faculty members. The Upper School numbers approximately 390 students, of whom 160 board, and over 50 full-time and part-time faculty. TASIS England promotes cultural understanding and appreciation. By living, studying, and socializing with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures, and participating in field trips and excursions offered in the United Kingdom and throughout Europe, TASIS England students gain an international outlook and awareness.
