Some boarding schools support low-income and talented students from all social strata with scholarships, grants and reduced fees. It is worth asking the respective schools for further information. In some countries and under certain conditions, youth welfare offices will take over some or all of the fees. Citizens of the European Union are entitled to apply for financial support in other European Union member states.
Starting in 2004, the Euro-Internatsberatung (an independent educational advisory service) has been offering 140 partial scholarships in England, Switzerland and Germany (each covering 50% of the school and boarding school fees). Moreover, the USA is participating in this partner programme with several boarding schools.
You can obtain more information about this by contacting the advisory service for boarding schools.
